Myreli is the President and Club Director of SVC. Myreli's heart for SVC is totally our club mission. Her goal is for every girl to know that they can change the world. She strives on making sure SVC is a place where each girl can learn and develop not only their volleyball skills but the life skills that you acquire by playing a team sport, while having fun, making friendships and most importantly developing character. She encourages all families to enjoy each others company and feel proud and supportive of their child development.
Myreli has been directing SVC for 5 years, and previously was Assistant director at Suncoast Volleyball and other clubs in the area. She has over 20 years of administrative experience in club volleyball. As a player, Myreli played middle and high school volleyball in Puerto Rico. She played 2 years of NCAA II Volleyball at Barry University. She has over 30 years of coaching experience of club volleyball and Middle School Volleyball. Myreli is also a Middle School Math teacher and Head volleyball coach at Sarasota Suncoast Academy.
Jason grew up in Sarasota and developed a love for volleyball as a high school student playing on the beaches here. He has over 15 years of coaching experience in both indoor and beach volleyball along with many years of club experience as a coach and a parent. Jason is a teacher at Riverview High School where he also serves as the JV indoor coach and the beach volleyball coach. He is also the summer camp director at Lake Aurora Christian Camp. Jason has been a coach at SVC since the club began and is excited to step up this year as Assistant Director.
Jeff was the Director and founder of Suncoast Volleyball Club and led the organization for 11 years. He has 30 years of coaching volleyball experience including 10 years as varsity volleyball coach at The Out-of- Door Academy. In addition, he has coached Middle School, JV Volleyball, and youth volleyball over the past 15 years. As a USA Volleyball Club coach, Jeff has coached 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, and 15U teams.
Jeff has a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Masters in Athletic Administration and Coaching Leadership He has been an elementary physical education teacher for 27 years. Jeff has USA Volleyball Impact 1, Coaches Accreditation Program I and II, and Beach Impact Coursework.
Jeff is the pioneer of the Volley Totz and Volley Kidz Programs within the Sarasota area and thrives on making success possible for athletes of all ages and skill levels. His belief is to teach “the game” of volleyball to athletes of all ages and to make all practices, games, and activities fun, exciting, and competitive.
Josh grew up in Sarasota and attended Riverview High School where he met his wife, Missy. He is a father of 3 and now teaches at chemistry Riverview. He began his teaching career at Brookside Middle School where he was the assistant coach for the school's volleyball team for 2 years. After five years teaching at Brookside he took a teaching position at Riverview where he served as the coach of the freshmen team for several years. He enjoys running, fishing, and mountain biking.
As Volunteer Coordinator for SVC, Sue brings many years of experience in the non-profit industry managing volunteer schedules. Most recently, she worked for Habitat for Humanity. Sue has been playing volleyball for many years. She played on middle school and high school teams and college intramural teams, as well as many years of USAV regional and national tournament play. Volleyball has been a large part of her family life as well. Sue and her husband, Mark, met playing volleyball and all 3 of their now grown children played on school and club teams. Mark and Sue also played coed volleyball together for many years in Indy. Retirement and a subsequent move to Sarasota has allowed Mark and Sue the opportunity to coach high school (indoor and beach) and club volleyball teams together. Playing, coaching and watching volleyball is a true love for Sue, and she feels blessed to be able to do it alongside her husband, Mark.
Tatiana's love for the sport of volleyball began as a parent and then turned into learning the coaching aspect of the sport. She most enjoys teaching volleyball fundamentals to younger players. As a School Psychologist she incorporates social emotional learning in her trainings to help players grow both in and out of the court.
