Coach Tom

Tom's lifelong passion for competitive sports began as a multi-sport athlete in high school in Gainesville, Florida. After raising a family of four daughters, two of whom were deeply involved in both club and high school volleyball in Pensacola, Florida, Tom was inspired to dive into coaching. He began coaching at the club level and pursued certifications in IMPACT training, Gold Medal Squared, and the Art of Coaching.

With 14 years of coaching experience across various age groups, Tom cherishes the opportunity to mentor young athletes, helping them grow as players and, most importantly, as well-rounded individuals. His coaching achievements in Pensacola include leading three teams to regional championships and USAV Nationals, as well as coaching a U12 team that won the American Division at the Sunshine Classic Qualifier in Orlando, securing another USAV Nationals bid.

Tom also spent two years as the freshman head coach and varsity assistant coach at Pensacola Catholic High School. Now based in Sarasota, he continues to share his love for the game as a coach for Classical Academy.
