Luciano Marques joined Sarasota Volleyball Club in 2023 and returns for the 2026 season as a versatile coach leading AAU teams and positional training. His coaching philosophy centers on helping young athletes develop grit, confidence, and a strong work ethic while creating memories that last a lifetime.
Luciano's coaching experience spans Elite Volleyball Club and Sarasota Volleyball Club. He brings a player-first approach to every session, focusing on building fundamentals, court awareness, and the competitive mindset that helps athletes succeed both on and off the court.
As a player, Luciano competed in indoor volleyball in Brazil for over 15 years. That deep playing background gives him a well-rounded perspective he passes on to every athlete he coaches.
Off the court, Luciano is the husband of Jan Marques and a proud father of two amazing daughters. He believes that coachability is the foundation of success: "I believe if you are coachable you will always be successful in your volleyball and personal career." For Luciano, there is something special about watching an athlete gain confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve goals they once thought were impossible — and that passion is why he continues to love what he does every day.
