Coach Lauren

Coach Lauren Johnson joined SVC in 2026 as a Travel Coach. Her goal is to make volleyball a game players love coming back to — where every practice and challenge is fun and a learning opportunity, and every competition builds confidence, teamwork, and passion. Lauren wants to create an environment where athletes enjoy the journey, embrace growth, and experience the excitement of competing at their best.

Lauren's path in volleyball started as a player at Cardinal Mooney High School and Suncoast Volleyball Club. She later brought that experience to the sidelines, spending two years as JV Coach at Sarasota High School and a year coaching SVC's AAU program.

Off the court, Lauren is an elementary school teacher with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's in Transformational Curriculum and Instruction. Her background in education shapes the way she coaches — breaking down skills, celebrating progress, and meeting athletes where they are so they can grow with confidence.
