Coach
Julia Jekonski is a Class of 2026 athlete at Riverview High School and a product of Sarasota Volleyball Club, where she played for the Travel Blue team. A 5'5" defensive specialist with experience at opposite, Julia brings a back-row-first mindset and a deep love for the team aspect of the game to every practice she coaches.
On the court for the Riverview Rams varsity (jersey #9, DS), Julia put together a strong 2025-26 season — 116 digs and 175 receptions across 63 sets played, plus 26 serving aces that ranked her in the top 11 of Florida's 7A District 12. She also competes for the Rams' varsity beach volleyball team, and has been recognized as her high school team's MVP as a freshman, earned the Best Teammate award as a sophomore, and was named club team MVP.
In the classroom Julia took on Honors Biology, Spanish 3 & 4 Honors, and IB Marine Biology while at Riverview, modeling the student-athlete balance SVC wants its younger players to grow into. As a coach, she helps SVC athletes develop strong defensive fundamentals, smart court awareness, and the cheer-loud, work-hard culture that makes a team feel like family.
