Coach Genevieve

Coach

Coach Genevieve Perry is a former Division I middle blocker who played collegiate volleyball at Furman University in the Southern Conference, after beginning her college career at Tulane. Standing 6'1", she brought a strong presence at the net — earning starts as a junior and senior, posting a career-high 11 kills on .409 hitting against USC Upstate, and being named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll in 2023.

Before college, Genevieve was a three-year letterwinner at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, where she earned First Team All-League and All-District honors, was named her league's Defensive MVP as a sophomore, made the 2018 TAVC All-State team, and received AVCA All-American Honorable Mention recognition as a senior. She helped lead the Chaparrals to back-to-back district championships in 2018 and 2019, and played club volleyball for Austin Performance.

At SVC, Coach Genevieve is focused on skill development — breaking down complex movements into clear, teachable steps her athletes can repeat under pressure. She believes every player has a ceiling much higher than they think, and her job is to give them the tools and confidence to reach it. Whether she's running a clinic or coaching a tournament, Genevieve brings consistent energy, Division I experience, and a genuine investment in each athlete's growth.

Off the court, Genevieve works as a marketing and business development coordinator. She loves coaching because she's been that player — she knows what it's like to work toward a goal, overcome challenges, and rely on coaches who believed in her along the way. Being able to give that same guidance, support, and confidence to the next generation of athletes is what makes coaching so rewarding.
